Addison Devon Reed graduated from Los Osos (CA) High School....Attended San Diego State University where he was 8-2 for the Aztecs with 2.50 ERA (22 earned runs/79.1 innings pitched) in 11 starts during 2010....Was a teammate at SDSU with Stephen Strasburg...Selected as the 2009 National Stopper of the Year by the NCBWA...Led the nation in saves (20) and was selected as a first-team All-American by Collegiate Baseball, Rivals.com, NCBWA and Ping! Baseball.

2016

Was first in the majors with 40 holds and set a singleseason franchise record for holds with his 27th on August 4 at New York (AL)...Aaron Heilman (2006) held the previous mark with 26 holds...His 40 holds are tied for the third-most in major league history with Tyler Clippard (2014) and Luke Gregerson (2010)...Had the fourth-lowest ERA among NL relievers (1.97) with a min. 50.0 innings...Made a career-high 80 outings...Previous high was 68 games with the White Sox in 2013...His 80 appearances in 2016 were tied for the seventh-most in team history for a single season...Is eighth on the Mets all-time holds list with 46...David Weathers is seventh with 49...Was unscored upon in 68 of 80 outings...Went 2-0 with a 1.75 ERA (seven earned runs/36.0 innings) after the All-Star break...Tossed a career-high 16.1 scoreless innings (allowed only six hits with 25 strikeouts) from June 25-July 31... lower mark (0.57 ERA). ... Had one win, one save (September 13 at Atlanta) and six holds with the Mets....Was 2-2 with a 4.20 ERA (19 earned runs/40.2 innings) and three saves in 38 games with the Diamondbacks before the trade.
