Jeurys Familia (pronounced Jer-ISS) graduated from Liceo Analilian Miranda High School in 2007...On June 12, 2015, he loaded the bases vs. Atlanta with one out holding a 5-3 lead...At that exact moment, his fiancée, Bianca Rivas, was at a hospital in Hackensack, N.J., giving birth to the couple's first child, Jeurys, Jr...Familia induced a double play to save the game...Built a house for his parents in the Dominican Republic...Finished it in 2015...Enjoys listening to music and playing video games....Was honored at the 2016 Thurman Munson Dinner for his success and inspiration on the fields of play and community outreach off the field...Was the largest elf in team history at the 2014 Mets Holiday Party, which is held annually for local school children.
